Sky F1 reporter takes action to stop hate campaign after Max Verstappen interview

Sky F1 reporter Rachel Brookes has disabled comments on her social media accounts after receiving “vile abuse” after the Spanish Grand Prix.

The Barcelona race saw Max Verstappen come together with George Russell towards the end of the race, resulting in a 10-second time penalty and three penalty points on his super licence.

Max Verstappen makes simple Red Bull demand to combat 'quite extraordinary' McLaren

Max Verstappen fears "a lot needs to happen" if he is to become an F1 title contender this season despite his solid performance over the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.

Red Bull driver Verstappen started and finished second behind Mercedes' George Russell at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to close the gap on the championship leader, Oscar Piastri, to 43 points after the Australian finished fourth.

F1 champion changes mind on title favourite after 'watershed moment'

Oscar Piastri has been handed the tag of drivers' title favourite this year after what has been described as "a watershed moment" that unfolded during Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix.

For a short period at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, it appeared as if Lando Norris would snatch fourth place from McLaren team-mate Piastri late on, and narrow the gap in the standings between them to eight points.

Toto Wolff hits out at 'embarrassing' Red Bull over George Russell protest

Toto Wolff has branded Red Bull "petty and embarrassing" over its decision to protest George Russell's Canadian Grand Prix victory.

In the aftermath of Russell's Montreal success over Max Verstappen, Red Bull launched a protest, alleging unsportsmanlike conduct against Russell and that he had allegedly fallen more than 10 car lengths behind the late safety car.

F1 announces major new contract for popular grand prix

F1 has announced a four-year extension of the Canadian Grand Prix's contract, ensuring it will race in Montreal until at least 2035.

The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve first joined the calendar in 1978, and has been on the schedule ever since, except in 1987 due to a sponsor dispute, in 2009 due to a calendar dispute and then in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
